Good news for travelers! The Bacolod-Negros Occidental Economic Highway (BANOCEH) is set for a partial opening by the end of June or possibly the first week of July.
This PHP7.389 billion project will improve connectivity across the region. The road stretches from South road junction along Barangay Sum-ag in Bacolod City towards the Bacolod North Road junction in Victorias City.
Here's what you can expect:

- Reduced travel time: Travel between Bacolod City and Bacolod-Silay Airport will be cut by 25 minutes, from the current 1-hour.
- Improved travel experience: The highway will feature amenities like a bicycle lane, service roads, and landscaping.
- Staged opening: The first section to open will connect Bacolod City to Bacolod-Silay Airport via the Bacolod-Silay Airport Access Road junction.
- Future extension: Plans are underway to extend BANOCEH further south towards Victorias City, Manapla, and Sagay City. This extension will not only improve traffic on the Bacolod North Road but also provide a shorter route from the Victorias-Manapla area to Don Salvador Benedicto.
