Blackpink's Jennie Sparks Controversy with Indoor Vaping Video

A recent deleted video clip from Jennie, a member of the K-pop group BLACKPINK, has sparked online controversy. The footage allegedly showed Jennie vaping indoors while surrounded by her hair and makeup team.

The video's removal hasn't stopped the controversy. Copies circulated online, attracting significant media attention. Public anger and concern stem from the illegality of smoking and vaping indoors in South Korea.

Calls for an official investigation have even reached South Korea's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who confirmed receiving a petition regarding the incident according to AFP.

Jennie's agency, OA Entertainment, issued a statement in response.

"We sincerely apologize to everyone who felt uncomfortable with Jennie's actions," it read. "She acknowledges and deeply regrets her mistake, including causing inconvenience to the staff. Jennie has personally apologized to everyone affected."

An apology to fans was also included:" We apologize to her fans who have been disappointed. We hope to prevent this from happening again."
