BINI electrifies Cebu with sold-out "BINIverse" show

Cebu City was ablaze with excitement on Sunday as the Nation's Girl Group, BINI, captivated a sold-out crowd at the Grand Ballroom of the Waterfront  Hotel and Casino. The penultimate stop of their "BINIverse" regional tour drew thousands of enthusiastic fans, affectionately known as "Blooms," from Cebu and neighboring areas.

As early afternoon turned to evening, the venue's driveway was packed with eager fans, their anticipation palpable. Among them was 12-year-old Lyanna Marshall, dressed in pink and beaming with gratitude for the father's graduation gift - a ticket to the concert. "Thank you for coming to Cebu," she expressed to the group.

The concert was a visual feast, with fans sporting BINI-inspired attire, such as colorful crocheted tops, a nod to their favorite song, "Pantropiko." "Their music lifts our spirit, especially in tough times," shared Marvin Mendoza.

For Kim Dalaygon, a college student from Mindanao, witnessing BINI live was an unforgettable experience. "It's overwhelming to see them here. Welcome to Cebu!" she claimed.

BINI ignited the stage with their energetic performances of hits like "Na Na Na," "Salamin, Salamin," and "Pantropiko." They also treated the crowd to their latest single, "Cherry on Top." The highlights of the evening, however, was the member's individual performances, a reprise of their solo acts from their recent three-night concert in Manila.

From Mikha's powerful mash-up to Stacey's captivating rendition of an Ariana Grande classic, each member showcased their unique talents. Sheena's dance prowess, Maloi's soulful vocals, Colet's fiery energy, Gwen's charismatic stage presence, and Jhoanna's vocal abilities left the audience spellbound.

The concert was particularly special for BINI Aiah, a Cebuana herself, who performed a rap-infused version of Doja Cat's "Woman." Overwhelmed with emotion, she expressed her gratitude for the warm welcome. Colet, hailing from Bohol, proudly embraced her Bisaya heritage, as did other members who attempted to communicate with the crowd in their local dialect.

The audience joined in the celebration as the sang a resounding birthday greeting for Stacey, whose special day fell the previous day.

With Cebu leg successfully concluded, BINI is set to conquer General Santos City on July 20 before jetting off to Los Angeles for KCON LA 2024. Ther "BINIverse" tour will also make stops in Vancouver, Edmonton, Winnipeg, and Toronto in August.

"I've heard that some of our shows have sold out. Thank you so much for your support," shared BINI member Jhoanna, expressing the group's appreciation for their growing fanbase.
