Korean actor Song Jae-rim, known for his roles in dramas like "Moon Embracing the Sun" and "Two Weeks," was tragically found dead in his Seoul apartment on November 12. He was 39 years old.
Seoul's Seongdong Police Station confirmed the news, stating that Jae-rim's friend discovered his lifeless body during a visit. A two-page letter was also found at the scene, but authorities have not yet released the official cause of death. Police have ruled out foul play.
A private funeral for family members is scheduled for November 14.
Fans expressed shock and sadness over the sudden passing of the beloved actor. Many took to social media to share their condolences and reminisce about his work. It was noted that Jae-rim's last Instagram post, shared 10 months ago, featured mirror selfies and a changed account name, which translates to "the beginning of a long journey."
Unfortunately, Jae-rim's passing is not an isolated incident. Several other South Korean celebrities, including Cha In Ha, Parasite actor Lee Sun Kyun, actress Yoo Ju Eun, and actress Han Ji-sung, have also tragically passed away in recent years.
