Doncic's 45-Point Triple-Double Powers Mavs Over Warriors

Dallas, TX – Luka Doncic orchestrated a historic night for the Dallas Mavericks, leading them to a 143-133 victory over the Golden State Warriors. Doncic’s triple-double of 45 points, 13 assists, and 11 rebounds was the highlight of a game that saw both teams set new NBA records for three-pointers made.

The Mavericks and Warriors combined for a staggering 48 three-pointers, surpassing the previous record of 44. Golden State drained 27 of their 54 attempts from beyond the arc, while Dallas connected on 21 of 41.

“No team could miss,” Doncic remarked. “They had 18 threes at halaftime, and we were still up. It was insane.”

Doncic’s efficient shooting, including 6-of-11 from three-point range, propelled him to his ninth career 40-point triple-double. His teammate, Klay Thompson, expressed admiration for Doncic’s effortless performance: “He never rushes, plays at his own pace. He made it look easy.”

The historic three-point barrage was the main attraction of the game. The two teams combined for 30 three-pointers in the first half alone, breaking another NBA record. Thompson hit the record-breaking 45th three-pointer of the game in the fourth quarter.

“I’ve had a great history of shooting the ball well here, so I try to tap into that every time I come back,” Thompson said.
