De La Salle University’s prized possession, Kevin Quiambao, has officially announced his next chapter in his basketball journey.
After a stellar collegiate career with the Green Archers, Quiambao has decided to pursue his NBA dream by signing a professional contract with the Goyang Sono SkyGunners in the Korean Basketball League (KBL).
The two-time UAAP Most Valuable Player expressed his gratitude to the La Salle community: "To the Lasallian Community, OSD, thank you for three wonderful seasons. A lot of sweat, tears, and sacrifices. Thank you for making me a great student-athlete."
Quiambao's decision to leave the Green Archers came as a surprise to many, especially after their recent UAAP Finals loss to the University of the Philippines. Despite the setback, he remains optimistic about his future and eager to take on new challenges.
The KBL presents a unique opportunity for Quiambao to showcase his skills on a global stage and further develop his game. Goyang Sono, currently struggling at the bottom of the league, will undoubtedly benefit from the addition of such a talented player.
