Domingo Lacson National High School placed Second in the Senior League Girls World Softball Tournament

Filipino community perfectly inspired the Philippine womens softball team After winning 9-0 with USA on the semi-finals for Senior League Girls World Softball Tournament (14-16 years old category), end up to second place.

Asia Pacific champion, Team Philippines was represented by Domingo Lacson National High School of Bacolod City settled second place in the Senior League Girls World Softball Tournament, the biggest achievement yet for any Philippine team in this event.

The team Philippines made a gallant stand but lost for the first time in the tournament to Delaware, 4-0 in the finals. The Philippine team previously had beaten Delaware, 1-0 in the elimination round of the competition. Both Team Philippines and Delaware finished with identical 6 wins and 1 loss record in the tournament.

Team Philippines stayed toe to toe with Delaware as the first four innings went scoreless. Pitcher Kaith Ezra, Jalandoni had shut out all the hitters of Delaware. However, Delaware managed to score 3 more runs in the sixth inning and then kept the Philippines scoreless until the final seventh inning. 

The team proven that they could compete with the best of the world. The international exposure is very good experience for them as they learned new strategies, techniques or training in softball.
