After a long process of deliberation, finally the Fil-American guard has been given green light to join the Philippine team in the Asian Games 2018. Recently news surface that the Philippine contingent had failed to bring Clarkson - joining the Philippine team in the Asian after the NBA turned down the request.
Shortly after the green light announcement, Guiao said he has reinstated the Clevelend Cavaliers guard in the final 12-man lineup in place of Don Trollano, reported in Inquirer.
Trollano gave way to Clarkson when the final lineup was first announced by Guiao on Friday, but served as replacement after the NBA turned down the request.
The Philippines will play with Kazakhstan in its opening game before China on August 21.
