Ayala Land Switch-On Christmas lights in Makati

Makati, Philippines - The most awaited celebrations before the year ends has started. Days after the Halloween and All Souls ended, the Makati business center, Ayala Land opened the annual display of Christmas lights on Nov. 5. The official switching on of extraordinary lights shines the heart of the City, a sign that Christmas is fast approaching. 


The Makati kicks off this year's light show at Ayala Triangle Gardens with the Disney inspired cartoon character 'McDonald'.




Ayala Land who's celebrating its 130th anniversary are displaying Filipino Christmas traditions depicting the iconic churches in the Philippines: San Sebastian in Manila, San Miguel Archangel Parish in Cebu and Molo Church in Iloilo, the Santuario de San Antonio of Makati and many others.


The festive lights crafted by designer Zenas Pineda could be seen in the whole stretch of Makati made of metal structures, stainless steel screens painted in gold and thousands of LED lights. 


"Christmas is always special for Filipinos because it's about bonding with family and loved ones. We realize that for many Filipinos, experiencing Makati's holiday displays have become part of their Christmas celebrations, alongside revered Filipino Christmas traditions such as the simbang gabi(dawn masses), family reunions, and noche buena(Christmas eve dinner)," Shiella Aguilar, Makati Project Development Head for Ayala Land, was quoted as saying in a press release.
