Footage showing tsunami wave smashes onto concert performance in Indonesia

Another tsunami hit Indonesia on Saturday, December 22 which initially recorded the death toll to at least 43 and hudreds suffered from injuries. The numbers is expected to rise as authorities continue for the search and rescure operation.



The concert from the local pop band Seventeen was caught on cam how the force of nature's fury smashes the event. Towards the end of the video, a hug wave sweeps away the stage and the people having a party. One member was reported dead and others are still missing according to Riefian Fajarsyah, the band's vocalist.


"The water washed away the stage which was located very close to the sea. The water rose and dragged away everyone at the location. We have lost loved ones, including our bassist and manager... and others are missing."

Seventeen is a popular local band based in Jakarta with over one million followers on facebook.

Officials said that tsunami was triggered by the eruption of Anak Krakatao volcano, which forms a small islet in the Sunda Strait.
