Italy disco stampede kills six and injures dozen

Rome, Italy - A nightclub stampede incident that happened in the early hours of Saturday morning that killed six people and dozens injured.

"The cause may have been the dispersal of a stinging substance, the young people fled and trampled over each other. sadly, six people died and dozens are injured," the fire service said in Twitter.



Around 1000 people attended the rapper Sfera Ebbasta concert at Lanterna Azzura club where the incident happened.

According to reports, the concert were about to start when "acrid smell" forced party goers to rush towards the emergency exit. Others suffered from crushing wounds and broken limbs as railings gave way and people began falling off a walkway, BBC reported.
