Dennis Padilla, the father of actress Julia Barretto admitted reaching out to Gerald Anderson following the alleged controversy surrounding the actor and his daughter Julia.
The comedian dad said he has sent four consecutive text messages to Anderson, but has not been replying to his text messages recently.
During the interview in an episode of the talk show "Tonight with Boy Abunda," aired August 28 said, prior to the unanswered text messages, Padilla did a phone conversation with Anderson during the height of controversy.
"Actually ako ang nag-text. Sabi ko, 'Puwede mo ba akong tawagan?" he said."Si Dennis Padilla to. After 45 minutes, tumawag naman," Padilla said.
Padilla did not disclose what they talked about but said he just clarified something. “Sabi ko lang, anak ko yan e, he stated. Yun lang, pinapaalala ko lang na anak ko si Julia Barretto.”
During the interview, he was asked to give a message to Anderson.
"Sagutin mo naman 'yung text ko,"Padilla said.
Meanwhile, Padilla told Joshua Garcia,“Pormal kang humarap sa akin, kaya ginagalang kita. Kung paano mo ako nirespeto, ganoon din kita nirirespeto.”
