Ironman 70.3 Traffic Advisory on August 11, 2019

Cebu, Philippines - Ironman 70.3 global triathlon event will kick-off on August 11, 2019, Sunday and Lapu-Lapu City Traffic Management System (CTMS) has issued traffic advisory to motorists that will be affected by road closure.


All motorists, hotel operators, residents of Brgy. Pta. Engaño, Mactan, Buaya, Ibo and Pusok are hereby advised on the scheduled road closure from Pta. Engaño, (Kabesang Tasyo Road) to M.L. Quezon national Highway, to the junction of Marcelo Fernan bridge relative to the Ironman Triathlon 70.3 on August 11, 2019.

Road in front of Gold Berry Hotel in Brgy. Pusok going to Brgy. Punta Engaño will also be closed from 4:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.
At 5 PM, the roads at Brgy. Punta Engaño will be open to motorists.

Guests of the hotel and resort affected by the road closure are advised to leave early to avoid delays going to your next destination. Thay can pass by alternate routes that the CTMS provide such as the road leading to Maringondon and straight to Basak road from Mactan.

Motorists from Mactan, Maribago, Marigondon, Cordova and Basak headed to Mactan-Cebu International Airport can use the Sangi-Matumbo road, the Maximo Patalinghug Ave. in Pajo or the M.L. Quezon National Highway in Pusok.

All trucks, trailers, tourists buses and other vehicles with gross weight of 4,500 up are not allowed to pass these roads during the competition. Moreover, trucks are also not allowed to use the Sangi-Matombo road going to the airport, while the Marcelo Fernan bridges will remain open during the race.
