The Pluristem therapy induces the immune system and reverses the Cytokine Storm which protects the body system from failing especially the lungs, but the whole thing is under evaluation.

The Israeli scientists has claimed that 20,000 coronavirus patients can treat by a single placenta, the time of Israel reported.

Pluristem is a treatment that uses placentas to grow good cells, and programs them to secure therapeutic proteins in the bodies of sick people.

Two of the four Israelis with multiple organ failure showed clinical recovery as well as respiratory improvement. All patients were one week after treatment at time of follow-up, apart from one, who received treatment after the others and whose health update wasn’t reported.

According to Pluristem, it now plans to apply for initiation of multinational clinical trials for treatment of complications associated with coronavirus.

“We are pleased with this initial outcome of the compassionate use programme [for use of unauthorised medicine] and committed to harnessing PLX cells for the benefit of patients and healthcare systems,” said Pluristem CEO and president, Yaky Yanay.
