Warning: Don't Click This Link If You See It On Messenger App



Rmn Iloilo Facebook post warned the public  to a new fraud online using Facebook Messenger to try and steal account details. 

This suspicious message on messenger which offer "two months of Netflix Premium Free at no cost for reason of quarantine" is a message that will redirect user to the Facebook site and it will ask permission to access your account.

The recipient is usually using one of your Facebook contacts in the scam message to make it look more convincing.

A new click-bait is now circulating online sent through Messenger App. Accordingly, this click bait gives you a link which offers a Two-Month Subscription of Netfilx Premium for FREE.

The said link is a phishing link which will direct you to a Facebook Site with dialogue box asking for your permission to have an access to your FB account. Upon clicking "Continue", your FB account will be forwarded to the database of the attacker and might eventualy use it for their personal gain.






Cybercriminals are grabbing the opportunity during this pandemic and while the Government is implementing the Enhance Community Quarantine, wherein most of the people are staying at home, surfing internet and social media platforms such as Facebook.
