Doraemon's voice actor dies at 84

 The man behind the iconic voice of Japanese anime series Doraemon has died from a stroke at age 84, according to The Star.





Tomita Kosei started his career as a voice actor in 1963 and made more than 50 anime series and films. He gained more popularity with his voice when Doraemi was launched in 1973 but was later replaced by Masako Nozawa.



Kosei has received Achievement Award at the 3rd Seiyu Awards in 2009, a ceremony that gives recognition to voice acting talent.
