Iloilo City Mayor Jerry Treñas on Sunday said he would consider to declare social media influencer Jam Magno "persona non grata," or unwelcome status in the city.
The statement came after Magno's criticisms over the Iloilo's beauty queen and the country's representative to Miss Universe 2020, Rabiya Mateo.
" If Ilonggos think she deserves it, why not?," the mayor said.
However, in unverified Twitter user named Jam Magno, she responded to the mayor's statement which says: "Funny how so many are critical of Rabiya saying much worse things than me. And yet you all focus on just me. You can keep Ilo-ilo. Since I doubt you’ll get the Universe anyway."
“Maliit lang naman ang Iloilo, so wala akong pakialam pati sa mayor nyo,” she added.
Jam Magno previously faced backlash for criticizing Rabiya Mateo on TikTok when the 24-year-old beauty queen speak out her thoughts in an interview, denouncing President Duterte's statement when he told presidency was no job for woman because of their emotional differences to men.
