MAGUAD SIBLINGS SLAY IN NORTH COTABATO PROBE AS CALL FOR JUSTICE MOUNT

 The brutal killing of two siblings in North Cotabato has raised online attention as many are calling for justice.



Crizzle Gwynn Maguad, 18, and her 16-year-old brother were found dead with stabbed wounds and they were both beaten inside their house.







Broken bottles, knife, hammer and a basketball bat were found on the crime scene. The victims visiting cousin who is a minor managed to hide inside a small room in the house after she locked herself in during a commotion between the two victims and the attackers.




The girl identified only as "Janice" was able to post on social media asking for help, said Major Realan Mamon as quoted to a report. Other report said, Crizzle and Janice were answering their learning modules inside a room when they heard Crizvlle scream from the living room.



The police is looking for the possibility of robbery as a motive since the cabinets were opened and personal belongings were found scattered inside the house. One of the parents of the victims is a school principal in Buayan Elementary School in the same province.




The cousin is already under the care of the municipality social welfare office. Days after the reported horrifying incident, the hashtag #JusticeForMaguadSiblings" went viral to raise awareness.



A reward worth PHP250,000 was also offered for the arrest of the suspects.
