Fr. Roniel El Haciendero has electrified the couple's wedding held in the parish of Sto. Niño De Lipa in Levitown, Marawoy, Lipa City, Batangas.
The wedding was documented and it was uploaded to Fr. Roniel's vlog where he made a big revelation during his homily. In the highlight of the sermon he admitted that the bride is his ex-girlfriend, explaining that everything is history.
"Gayunpaman, the past is past. 'Yun ho'y matagal na. Ngayon naman, may kanya-kanya na kaming buhay. Ako'y pari na, at ngayong araw na ito, si Korina ikakasal na," said Fr. Roniel.
According to Fr. Roniel, it was Korina who gave him the idea for his YouTube content which now going viral. Then he continued with his playful sermon while he expressed his well wishes to Korina and her groom, Manuel.
"Si Johnsen ay kasabwat ko eh, bestfriend ko ho 'yung magkakasal kay Korina. Kaya hindi nadating si Johnsen ay parang ayaw ituloy," Fr. Roniel said in joke, referring to the priest who was supposed to officiate Korina's wedding.
"Wag kang mag-alala hindi naman ako sisigaw ng 'itigil ang kasal.' Walang ganon. Sa pelikula lang 'yun nangyayari," he added.
Before he end his vlog, Fr. Roniel expressed how happy he is for Korina and he went to explain to his followers that everyone of us has its own calling that we should have to thank.
"Iba-iba tayo ng bokasyon. Mayroong pagtawag para sa pagpapari, ‘yung iba’y tinatawag para sa pag-aasawa. Kanya-kaya ‘yan ng pagtawag mula sa Panginoon. Ako’y masaya bilang pari, at alam kong si Korina ay masaya sa kanyang tatahaking buhay may-asawa.
“Wala itong bitter feelings, lahat ay masaya. Kami ay magkaibigan at pwede pa rin namang magdamayan kahit may kanya-kanya ng buhay.”
