It's official! Presidential candidate Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. and vice presidential bet Inday Sara Duterte-Carpio gets the support of the leadership of the influential religious group of Iglesia ni Cristo.
The INC made the announcement Tuesday afternoon by Eagle Broadcasting Corp. but the speculations that the INC would endorse Marcos and Dueter started as early as February when the Uniteam held their proclamation rally at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan.
The Philippine Arena is owned by INC.
INC also announced its Senate slate, which includes:
- Guillermo Eleazar
- Mark Villar
- Robin Padilla
- Alan Peter Cayetano
- Loren Legarda
- JV Ejercito
- Chiz Escudero
- Sherwin Gatchalian
- Joel Villanueva
- Migz Zubiri
- Jinggoy Estrada
The religious group has an estimated 3-million members in the Philippines and 150 countries and territories overseas.
