HUNGRY INMATES IN BJMP POTOTAN, ILOILO GO ON STRIKE AS THEY DEMAND FOR FOOD

 At least 100 hungry prisoners in the Iloilo District Jail (IDJ) in Pototan, Iloilo staged a noise barrage atop the roof on Wednesday, August 24.





"Gutom kami! (We're hungry)" a note written on a signboard. 



The inmates claimed they do not have enough food, as they just eating one meal per day.



The chaotic scene has forced to remove Chief Inspector Norberto Miciano of the BJMP district jail in Barangay Nanga, Pototan as the investigation is going on.






According to BJMP Spokesperson JSupt. Xavier Solda there's an ongoing dialogue with the PDLs. 



Solda added that BJMP Chief Jail Director Allan Iral had instructed the regional director of BJMP-Region 6 to attend the concerns of the inmates.
