Meta acknowledged the widespread outage on Facebook, Messenger, and Instagram that affected users globally on Tuesday, March 5. In a statement on its official X page, the company apologized for any inconvenience caused and thanked users for their patience.
Meta's communications director, Andy Stone, attributed the outage to a "technical issue" in a separate post on X.
