The Department of Justice (DOJ) is set to unveil the findings of its investigation into government officials suspected of aiding the escape of dismissed Bamban,Tarlac mayor Alice Guo.
According to DOJ Assistant Secretary and spokesperson Mico Clavano, the results are expected to be released "very soon." While no exact date has been set, Clavano indicated that the report could be made public this month unless new evidence emerges.
Clavano emphasized that Guo likely did not act alone in her escape, suggesting involvement from a network within the Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGO) industry. He stated that both government officials and private individuals could be implicated.
President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. previously warned that "heads will roll" if any government personnel were found to have assisted Guo's escape. Guo was apprehended in Indonesia on September 6 and has been brought back to the Philippines to face charges related to her alleged involvement in illegal POGO activities.
