Davao City, Philippines - The first ever one-stop shop for health service in Davao City was launched last Saturday.
It is located in front of Southern Medical Philippine Center to help patients and their relatives process their medical assistance easily.
The government agencies that will render their services at the one stop shop include the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Philippine Charity Sweeptakes Welfare (PCSO) and the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth).
They also have 'Lingap Para sa Mahirap' Program that gives financial, funeral or burial and pharmaceutical assistance.
"Hopefully, services here are all combined plus a patient's PhilHealth deductions, so there's as easy access to assistance," said Davao Mayor Sara Duterte - Carpio.
For now the one-stop show is located in a temporary office space. It is expected to be trnsferred to a bigger space by next year after the construction of a P2-million building allocated for this program is completed. - UNTV News & Rescue.
