MANILA, Philippines – Some cities have declared suspension of classes on Monday (October 16) because of the scheduled nationwide transport strike in protest of the government’s planned for jeepney modernization program.

IN PURSUANT WITH THE DEP ED MEMO NO. 157 CLASSES ARE SUSPENDED ON MONDAY OCTOBER 16, 2017. PLEASE SHARE. AND DISREGARD THE PREVIOUS INFORMATION POSTED EARLIER.

Here is a list of areas and schools where classes have been suspended for Monday, October 16 due to a transport strike

Areas:

    Davao City – classes from kindergarten to college, public and private
    Makati – All levels, public and private
    San Mateo, Rizal – All levels, public and private
    San Fernando, Pampanga – pre-elementary to senior high school, public and private

Schools:

    Ateneo de Davao University
    National Teachers College
    UST Legazpi
