Fil-Canadian discovers P4.7 Billion pearl from Palawan that they neglected for a long time

This tooth-shaped smooth surface white object that has been rejected for a long time by Reyes family ,now the most valuable rock on earth. The family of Abraham Reyes recently learned that this rock has the re-sale value whopping to $90 million (Php 4.73 billion).

The heirloom was passed on from one generation to another since his grandfather found it in a giant clam he bought from a fisherman back in 1959 in Palawan, Philippines. Since it was passed to them, the family thought that the rocks was ordinary that doesn't have much value.

Abraham Reyes, who's based in Ontario, Canada brought a 27.65 kgs. mineral which resembles to giant tooth to appraiser, who confirmed that it was a pearl. After learning about the valuable treasure, they named it "Giga Pearl" and paired it with a custom-made 22-carat gold holder in the shape of an octopus.

The valuable pearl with over a thousand years old surpassed the famous pearl of Lao Tzu found also in Palawan in 1939.

The pearl of Lao Tzu has a weight of 6.4kg was held the largest pearl in the world since 1939. However, the record was break by the pearl of Puerto Princesa in 2016 with 34 kgs. According to story, the fisherman had accidentally stuck his boat's anchor into a giant clam. He kept the giant pearl home and placed it under his bed for good luck. As the time had passed, he forgotten the valuable pearl and later remember the treasure when he had to move to another home.

He took it to his aunt who happens to be the local tourism department chief. He was definitely surprised to learn that he'd been hiding the most expensive pearl in the world for ten years under his bed - worth $100 million.

The pearl of Puerto Princesa can be seen displayed at the Puerto Princesa City Hall from anonymous fisherman.
