Fil-Am a cappella group 'The Filharmonic' performs with John Legend on James Corden Show

The Filipino American a cappella group 'The Filharmonic' had showcased their talents on Tuesday night, July 30 at the "Late Late Show with James Corden," as they performed famed ballad and bops.

The Filharmonic consists of Jules Cruz, in charge of vocal bass; Joe Caigoy, tenor; Trace Gaynor, tenor; Niko Del Rey, beat boxer; VJ Rosales, tenor.

“Whenever I turn the radio on now all I’m getting on the radio are like slow boring ballads — do you know what I mean? I want to roll down the windows. I want to jam out. No one wants to hear some guy on the guitar crying about his girlfriend in the middle of the summer. It just feels wrong,” Corden told his audience.

Meanwhile, John Legend appeared on the show and made some friendly dispute with Corden between ballads versus bops, with the help of The Filharmonic. Among the song they performed were All-4-One's "I Swear," Jonas Brothers'"Sucker",and Billie Eilish's "Bad Guy."

"What an unreal, full circle moment. All of Me was one of our first music videos we put out as a group back in June 2014. Singing it last night with@johnlegend on @latelateshow was such an honor," he wrote on his Instagram post.

Filharmonic earned popularity after being featured on NNBC's hit musical competition, "The Sing-Off."They appeared also in the Universal Pictures hit movie, "Pitch Perfect 2," and recently taking the spotlight after their appearance on the "Late Late Show".
