Arjo Atayde dedicates PMPC's Best Drama Supporting Actor Award to Maine Mendoza

"Last but not the least, Maine, thank you so much for being such an inspiration, for being my everyday, for keeping up with my weirdness, this one's for you," the last words from  Arjo Atayde  when he delivered his speech after receiving the PMPC's award.

Last October 13, Sunday, the actor was hailed this year's Best Drama Supporting Actor Award for his portrayal of an autistic person 'Elai' in "The General's Daughter" during the Philippine Movie Press Club's 33rd Annual Star Awards for Television.

In his speech, Arjo thanked everyone who have been part of the movie success and shape him to do his role well.

"I want to thank the cast for teaching me every day, I remain to be a student of what I'm doing every day, and I'm very thankful that I'm privileged that I'm working with all these brilliant actors and actresses," he said.

The emotional Arjo continued his speech saying, "I told you, I doubted myself. Every day. Every day, you believed in me so much. You told me, 'Arjo, you can do it.' And now, I'm standing in front of you guys with this award. Thank you. I love you guys so much."

In the end part of his speech, he also thanked and dedicate his success to Maine Mendoza who remains as one that inspires him.

"Last but not the least, Maine, thank you so much for being such an inspiration, for being my every day, for keeping up with my weirdness, this one's for you," he added.

Recently, Maine Mendoza admits that Arjo fits her personality because they are opposite, added that she's now more open to the actor since he accepted her wholeheartedly.

“Wala na rin akong hiya kasi siguro, tanggap niya ako kung ano ako. He accepts me for who I am and for who I am not. So ang laking bagay noon. Para gawin niya ‘yon parang mawawalan na rin ako ng hiya sa kanya para i-express kung ano ako," she said when she visited Magandang Buhay.

Last January 2019 Maine and Arjo admitted that they exclusively dating and happy with each other company.
