Philippines world's largest IKEA store to hire around 500 workers for its opening in 2021

 The Swedish multinational designs and sells home furniture and accessories IKEA is set to open its first Philippines store sometime in 2021 and will be planning to hire 496 people for its outlet.






The most promising world's largest Ikea outlet located at SM Mall of Asia Complex in Pasay City plans to hire sales associates, customer service, food assistants and part-time workers. It will also open a call center and warehouse for its e-commerce support site.




“Part-timers are treated like full-time members of the family, with all the same benefits as full-timers on a prorated basis—including health insurance, annual leave, subsidized meals, and Ikea discounts,” Ikea Philippines Market Development Manager and Store Manager Georg Platzer said in a statement.





The hype is there! Following their upcoming store in SM Mall of Asia which will open in 2021, the world's largest furniture retailer, IKEA will open stores  to Iloilo, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, and Davao.



The Manila branch as the biggest store in the world has 65,000 square meters, almost double the size of the average IKEA store with 35,000 square meters.
