Sorsogon teacher carries blackboard to conduct house-to-house classes

 A 56-year-old Grade V teacher Augusto Furaque of San Isidro Elementary School in the town of Bulusan, Sorsogon became an angel for students who wants to learn amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Teacher Augusto goes above and beyond as he carry his blackboard with strapped, hanged around his shoulder to conduct house-to-house classes.




In a Facebook post of DepEd Region V - Bicol, teacher August said he observed that children are learning more if he will bring to them the blackboard as he could easily teach them their lessons especially to those struggling students.

"Malayo ang mga bata sa blackboard? Dalhin ang blackboard sa mga bata!" he said.





"Nakita ko pong mas natututo ang mga bata kung may blackboard kasi mas naipapaliwanag at naisasalarawan ko sa kanila ang mga bagay-bagay na kailangan pang ituro sa ilang mga lessons, at saka mas nagiging participative sila sa learning process," he added.





Teacher Augusto who go house-to-house aim to help parents and the students to show his care for them. The teacher literally walked the extra mile to personally visit them and made sure that he follow COVID-19 protocols.

Many parents have lauded the love and dedication of teacher Augusto for his students to deliver the good quality education. 





This is not the first time that we heard teachers have gone extra mile to teach students as the country continue to struggle the effect of coronavirus pandemic.
