Jaja Santiago is first Filipino import for Ageo Medics to win Japan V Cup championship

 Jaja Santiago has become the first Filipino import who help Saitama Ageo Medics win the Japan V.Leage V Cup on Saturday at the Ota City General Gymnasium in Tokyo.







Ageo Medics beat the NEC Red Rockets in four sets, 26-24, 20-25, 25-21, 25-17. The 6-foot-5 Santiago contributed 11 points and two blocks in the victory game.







Meanwhile Mami Uchiseto and Yuka Sato finished with 15 points. Shainah Joseph added 14 points.







Her Japan V Cup championship victory adds to her previous achievement as the first Filipino to win bronze medal in 2020 V.League tournament with Ageo Medics.





Santiago, who hailed from Cavite played for the Philippine National Women's Volleyball Team and the National University before joining the Japan Volleyball League in 2018.
