People defies social distancing as they flock to SM City Bacolod for voter's registration

As early as 3:00 AM on Saturday, September 25, people in Bacolod flocked at SM mall and apparently defied social distancing rules amid the continues spike of coronavirus cases in the province.

According to a report, it supposedly around 200 registrants will be accommodated for regular walk-in applicants, and another hundred applicants for priority lanes and persons with disabilities and senior citizens. But it seemed atleast a thousand of people troop outside the mall and forget minimum health protocols like social distancing.

Social distancing is one of the key measures through which people can avoid catching the highly contagious virus.

The Commission of Elections (COMELEC) rolled out on Saturday a national synchronized registration of votes using facilities of shopping malls to accomodate more voter applicants before September 30.
