China's Winter Olympics 2022 has welcomed its guests with more high-tech and futuristic scenes. One of its kind is the Yanchong Expressway which has been decorated with colorful bright lights wo welcome athletes and guests coming in for Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics.
The expressway connecting Beijing's Yanqing District and Zhangjiakou's Chongli District has cut the travel time to an hour between the two venues for the event.
Its design depicts the fully traditional Chinese culture, regional characteristics and elements of the Winter Olympics, such as the use of skis and ancient beacon towers.
The toll stations and service areas in the shape of "Infinity Ring" and "Olympic Gate," the Xinglinbao Bridge, and the "Olympic Gate" will be built with the theme of "Infinity Ring" and "Olympic Gate".
The Beijing Olympic Games officially start Friday at the iconic National Stadium, also known as the Birds Nest. The sporting competition will run through Feb. 20.
