BPI ISSUES STATEMENT OVER INACCESSIBLE ONLINE TRANSACTIONS COMPLAINT

 Lots of the clients of the Bank of the Philippine Islands took to social media to express worry about their money as they suffered offline transactions on Wednesday morning. 



BPI, through its social media account issued an advisory to address the issue of reported  duplicate transactions of unauthorized withdrawals.




"UPDATE: Following the double posting of ATM, CAM deposits, POS and e-commerce debit transactions from Dec. 30 to 31, 2022, please be informed that we expect correction of the duplicate transactions within the day," the statement read.



"Given the high volume of inquiries on our online banking channels, you may experience intermittent access to our web and mobile app platforms," it added.


 

The bank assured that the accounts of their clients is safe and secure.
