Actor Armie Hammer announced on Instagram that he is reluctantly selling his beloved pickup truck due to the soaring cost of gas. The black truck, which he purchased as a Christmas gift in 2017, has been a constant companion on countless adventures, including camping trips, road trips, and even transporting his children home from the hospital.
"I've cherished this truck immensely and have countless memories associated with it," Hammer shared. "Unfortunately, living in Los Angeles has made it increasingly difficult to afford the gas it requires. I simply can't justify the expense anymore."
Hammer expressed his sentimental attachment to the truck, recounting fond memories like sleeping in it during trips and the disappointment his children felt upon hearing about his decision to sell it.
To address the rising fuel costs, Hammer has opted for a more eco-friendly transportation solution: a smaller, hybrid car. "On my birthday, August 28th, I'll be embarking on a new chapter in a new car, a new apartment, and a new life in Los Angeles," he stated.
Hammer is best known for his roles in films such as "The Social Network" and "Call Me By Your Name." In 2021, he faced serious allegations of physical and sexual abuse from multiple women. While Hammer denied these claims, the allegations resulted in his dismissal from several acting projects.
Despite extensive investigations by the Los Angeles District Attorney's office and the Los Angeles Police Department, insufficient evidence prevented the pursuit of criminal charges against Hammer.
