The team Philippines won gold at a Senior League Softball World Series championship, the first in the Asia-Pacific. Royevel Palma threw a complete 15 strikeouts in a 7-0 win over Texas on Sunday, August 6, 2018 at Bruce Layton Field in Lower Sussex, Delaware.

Palma allowed only two hits out of 15, and issued no walks against the Texans in seven innings - one from Shelby Lashombe and another from Haylie Mitchell.
Marika Monica Manaig delivered three RBIs plus one run in a hot 3-to-4 clip to lead Tanauan's 10-hit outing with April Joy Rosita and Jamm'n Joyce Rasco also accounting for multiple hits for the Aspac representatives.
The Philippine team touched things off with a four-run spree in the third inning and in the next frame, Rasco and Manaig made it 6-0.
