A lot of surprises awaits for Filipino theater fans in the year 2020. The award-winning Matilda, The Musical is set to perform at The Theater at Solaire in Parañaque City in March 2020.
The GMG productions is bringing The Royal Shakespeare Company production to Solaire, according to posters shared by TheaterFansManila.com.
Matilda, The Musical, who performed in Manila in 2017 is based on the 1988 children's novel of the same name by Roald Dahl, follows the story of a little girl with amazing intelligence and telekinetic powers. Despite of being often ignored and misunderstood, but still there's one person who believe and appreciate her, the highly lovable Miss Honey.
Matilda wins seven Laurence Olivier Awards and five Tony Awards. It was first staged by the Royal Shakespeare Company production in the West End in 2011 and Broadway in 2013.
