Bulacan uses robot roving doctor to treat virus patients

This Roving Robot Doctor (RoviDoc) tasks to treat COVID-19 patients and as well as to address the safety of the doctors and nurses.at a centralized quarantine facility in the Bulacan Medical Center (BMC). 


These new colleagues will definitely make a difference in fight to COVID-19. It was invented by  professors of the information technology from the San Jose del Monte, Bulacan State University (BulSU). 


Through this roving robot, exposure of the doctors and nurses to patients will lessen while doing their tasks the same as humans.

It is designed to directly interact with patients to provide care and needs such as, temperature scanning check, provide the timely medicines and monitor a patient's condition.


It has an adjustable arm to move or adjust thermal scanners and main camera depending on the position of the patient. 

This aim to curb the spread of the disease among medical workers, as well as patients, while conserving stocks of personal protective equipment and other preventive medical supplies.

RoviDoc is also equipped with a liquid tank for nozzle spray while it moves in and out of the patient. It cost around P150,000 (approx. USD3,000), the provincial government plans to help finance RoviDoc's production.
