Heartbreaking photo captures ailing patient inside a car as hospital beds for coronavirus patients are scarce

 A heartbreaking photo of a red car parked outside a hospital with oxygen tank and an IV (intravenous) tube hanging through the window has captured online attention. 







The photo was shared by Dr. Jamie Ysabel Amposta on her social media account saying, "I never thought something like this can happen in my lifetime."







The two windows of a car are slightly open so that the tubes from the tank and IV bags can go though. Inside the car was a 66-year old COVID patient in Dasmariñas, Cavite who need to wait for the availability of the facility since the hospital had to cater those patient in very urgent needs.






"I know this is not ideal at all but this is the best we can do for our ailing patients," Dr. Amposta said.





She pleaded for everyone's understanding, 'dont shout at us if we say we cant accommodate u anymore'.





She thanked those patients who understands them. "Thank you po for your little treats just because we accommodated you kht nsa parking lot and wheelchair lang kayo. you uplift us that way," referring to the hospital space and manpower in full capacity.





She even gave her co-doctors and nurses an encouraging words for doing a job well done, but remind them also of other non-COVID patients. According to her the patient inside the red car has been transferred to a tent as their room extension on the second day.
