Vallacar Transit Inc. 'Ceres bus' start tap card system

 Vallacar Transit Incorporated (VTI), the operator of CERES bus start collecting fares via stored value cards on Monday, June 14.The move aims to support the modernization program via cashless fare collection scheme for their fleet.






The beep card will be given to commuters for free with their own account number. Passengers can purchase load at Ceres Northbound Terminal.  The automated fare collection system is set to enforce via Bacolod-Victorias as the pilot route.





Here's how to get your tap card and use it in your daily trip.



1. Get your card and buy load at the designated ticket booth.


2. Upon boarding, use your card to tap into the special purpose machine for 2-3 seconds. Wait for the SPM monitor to display successful transaction.


3. Upon reaching your destination and before getting off. Tap out your card to the SPM and get your printed receipt.


4. Do not forget to tap out otherwise you will be charged with the maximum fare.
