EJ Obiena has competed in the finals of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics men's pole vault event along with his lucky charm famous cartoon characters fashion socks.
Obiena was a sight to behold as he jump wearing a yellow 'SpongeBob SquarePants' and a black Patrick Star socks.
This is not the first time that Obiena wore a pair of Spongebob socks. Back in February 2021 during the indoor pole vault season, he wore a pair of Spongebob-themed socks.

Despite of his failing attempt people showered him with much love on Tuesday night because of his determination after competing with world record holder and new pole vault Olympic gold medalist Mondo Duplantis of Sweden.
He failed to clear the 5.8-meter mark.
