SOME WVSU COLLEGE OF LAW STUDENTS WEAR BLACK SHIRTS IN PROTEST HIRING OF FIRST LADY LIZA MARCOS

 Some student leaders of West Visayas State University has appeared in black shirts to opposed the hiring of First Lady Louise "Liza" Araneta-Marcos as part time faculty members at the College of Law.




The first lady is set to tech Criminal Law 1, which faced strong resistance and condemnation among student leaders.


The group said, "the decision of the university to admit the First Lady to teach law is a slap on the face, not only to the core values that the institution enshrines, but also an insult to the justice system." 



According to the College of Law Dean, there is no special considerations were given to the First Lady and that her credentials and qualifications were taken into consideration.



Araneta-Marcos earned her law degree in Ateneo de Manila University. In an interview she has two decades of teaching experience.
