Magikland: What To Expect and First-Timer's Guide

The first of its kind, the Magikland in Brgy. Guinhalaran, Silay City, Negros Occidental is set to open its gate to public in October 2019. Described as the first of its kind, the P800 million property became the first playground and theme park in Visayas.

It contains a story for ancient Legend of the Bakunawa is the first Negrense-made and inspired theme park. Only a minutes away from the hustle and bustle of Metro Bacolod, Magikland serves as a home for rides and different attractions.

The 5-hectare park offers a one-stop entertainment destination inspired by Negrense cultural heritage and folklore, has an initial 12 rides with different play facilities, galleries, dining and cultural exhibitions.

The park's main attractions include the Crazy Surf, Crazy Trail, Disk'O, Family Swinger, and the 27-meter Sky Tower rides for thrill seekers.  For those fresh starter, you can try their magical zone that offers the Happy Swing, Trackless Train, Mt. Kanlaon canoes, Magic Bike and bumper car rides for kids.

The tallest Ferris Wheel ever built in Western Visayas is among the attraction inside the park. All the rides are designed and built according to the maximum possible international standards and regulations in amusement industry.

If your looking for something that could restore your energy, the park promote Negrense cuisine that will surely satisfy your craving.

The main mascot of the park is Bakunawa, the moon-eating dragon. Soon, hotels, retails, entertainment and dining sections will be developed in the 38.5-hectare Aton Land Tourism Zone. 

First-time goers are encouraged to try all rides, but for any who have medical conditions, fear of heights or heart disorders then perhaps its better to try rides that you are most comfortable with.

Here are some of the important things to remember before enjoying the wild ride.

  • Make sure to wear casual and comfortable clothes and shoes that have a good grip.
  • Prepare to get wet so bring extra clothes.
  • Before entering always get theme park map at the front gate if available.
  • Expect long queue during the weekends and peak season (December).
